Để hình thành nên được tính cách đó, mỗi người Nhật ngay từ khi còn bé đã được dạy dỗ với những phương pháp đặc trưng riêng của đất nước mình.

Việc dạy dỗ những đứa trẻ là cả một hành trình dài. Sự thành công của quá trình này chỉ đánh giá được khi những đứa trẻ trưởng thành, sống và làm việc trong các môi trường khác nhau.

Cho trẻ ăn

Với người Nhật, trong phương pháp cho con ăn dặm từ những ngày đầu đều tôn chỉ theo hướng không ép trẻ ăn. Tôn trọng trẻ. Vì trẻ không bao giờ để mình bị đói. Chế độ ăn uống phải cân bằng về mặt dinh dưỡng. Thường xuyên ăn trái cây, và phải ăn mỗi ngày.

Nhân cách là quan trọng

Người Nhật không nhất nhất trẻ phải thật xuất sắc. Thông minh, học giỏi thì tốt. Nhưng nhân cách tốt thì lại quan trọng hơn cả. Các thói quen xấu phải bị loại trừ. Không bao giờ thỏa hiệp với lợi ích ngắn hạn để hình thành thói quen xấu cho trẻ.
